
It was a February special at Sakash Health and Wellness that got me to take the leap into the Pilates world and ironically it was love at first breath.
Learning the connection of alignment and breathing to make to movements smoother and stronger had a huge impact on me and is what started my Pilates journey. Leaving that class I knew this was the path for me.
A combination of group and private classes kept me on track and soon I saw improvement in my cycling, skiing, hiking and other outdoor activities. Several years into practicing I decided I wanted to learn more.
I decided the best way to expand my learning was to enroll in a teacher training program.
Working with Scarborough Pilates I completed my comprehensive training with the Kane School. The Kane School program’s foundation in anatomy shapes teaching and cuing methods in a way that has really connected with me. And though the plan was to improve my own practice, it was through the program that I rediscovered my love of teaching and the joy from sharing this modality with others. Additional training has included the Balanced Body Core Align 1 and 2 modules.
